The 100th anniversary of Armistice is the most significant world-wide event of the 2014-2018 Centenary of the Great War. It is both a celebration of peace and a remembrance of service and sacrifice.

A display of 62,000 handcrafted, red poppies on the Memorial's grounds is the centrepiece of commemorations, symbolically representing Australian lives lost in the First World War.

The 62,000 Poppies Display is by the founders of the 5,000 Poppies project.
