New Zealand Defence Service Medal Set

The New Zealand Defence Service Medal is awarded to members of the New Zealand Defence Force who have completed the required qualifying period of service. The medal acknowledges efficient and faithful service across regular and reserve forces, including service undertaken in a wide range of roles and environments.

This award includes the Regular Clasp, which recognises three years of service, either continuous or aggregated, in the regular forces of the New Zealand Defence Force or, prior to 1990, the New Zealand Armed Forces, with qualifying service commencing on or after 3 September 1945.
